We launched just over 8 months ago and the response has been amazing. We’re stoked and super grateful for the countless private and public compliments we receive for our work. Customer Support is helpful and quick and has earned us a 98% satisfaction score. Our Facebook Reviews Rating averages to an excellent glowing 4.9‑Stars!
Customer Surveys and our Feedback Forum have generated an abundance of wonderful ideas and feature requests, ensuring that we will never run out of ways to improve. We have already published 4 major updates, each adding more customizability, flexibility, and performance. The latest update, v6.7, laid the foundation for more awesome stuff coming soon — specifically the ability to customize Themes. Everyone wants to make smart home control more colorful and personal: The perfect match to every home’s unique decor and style.
Customers have told us that ActionTiles is a super value — especially our simple per-Hub License which is unlimited in so many ways (Things, Tiles, Panels, Accounts…). All new features so far have been free of additional charges. The new price will help us continue to avoid piecemeal add-on fees. While we never promise new features (free or not), we obviously are proud of our track record and it’s our pleasure to keep innovating and delivering. Reliability has also exceeded our own expectations; practically no outages or major bugs.
The world needs more ActionTiles…
It is expensive to grow exposure for an app with a niche consumer segment. We have to substantially invest in marketing spending and take some bold leaps. We think everyone (or at least “every SmartThings customer”) ought to have the chance to discover, explore, purchase, and benefit from this fabulous tool we built! Meanwhile, we will continue our R&D too. Yes indeed: We will be putting the few extra dollars from each license sale to very good use.
Still an Affordable, Incredible, Value…
These days, Hubs and “Things” of all sorts are often offered as low as half-price; so making your home “smarter” is more affordable than ever (thank-you, SmartThings!). And Amazon Fire HD7 or HD8 or similar “cheap” Tablets to dedicate to ActionTiles, are sometimes on sale for under $50. More than incredible when compared to luxury home control panels that cost $500 to $2000.
We know ActionTiles adds priceless powerful usability to our customers’ SmartThings homes. We hope our small price increase won’t discourage people from using Free Trial periods to experience this value for themselves. At $28.99, ActionTiles still costs less than one or two additional sensors, switches, or outlets; … and yet it can control all of them.
We will periodically reset everybody’s 14-Day Free Trial so that there will be no excuse not to not try out the latest features and maybe pull out the credit card this time.
